About this Item
6-5/8" x 9-3/4", 145pp incl. prelims. Sewn binding in brown coated split leather binding with title block stamped in gilt foil on the front cover and spine. A small amount of edge wear at the top of the binding adjacent to the spine, otherwise light shelf wear to cover. Decorative end papers with split leather paste downs. Deckled fore edge. Top of book block is gilt tinted. Binding is square and tight. Inscribed on the half title page by Arnold Davis, a family scion, and dated April 1982, and signed by Davis on the title page. Frontispiece, a portrait of Margaret Davis, is protected by tissue guard. A very nice specimen of Depression-era commercial book making. Seller Inventory # 003764
