This VG+ quality book was published in 1943 by Crown Publishing Company. It is 7-1/2" tall and has 246 numbered pages followed by an unnumbered page advertising the next book in this series; it is a thick copy, 1-1/4" thick. It is square, very clean, completely free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are barely bumped. The bottom edges and lower front corners have very little wear. The cloth on the top edges have a rust-colored stain (see photo) which does not affect the pages. Other than that staining, the exterior is in very nice condition--it has very little wear or soiling. Except for a small return address label on the front paste down, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Both hinges are strong and not damaged. There are no illustrations, not even a frontis, in this book or any other book in this series. The paper is very slightly toned and is quite flexible. The VG+ quality jacket is reasonably clean and not faded; it has tiny chips at both top corners and at the head of the spine, with some soiling along the front fold (see photo).
