FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 6 x 9 inches. xvii + 363 pp. with illustration throughout. Title page in red and black. Illustrated by 28 plates, including frontispiece and by engravings in text. This was only the third 'Road Book' to be issued, which makes the first edition very hard to find. Charles George Harper (1863-1943) was only just winning his readership at the time and the print run was probably quite small.
