About this Item
Extremely scarce study of Oxford University life during the 1920s and 30s. Greenidge was from Barbados. After Rugby School he went up to Oxford University where he associated with Evelyn and Alec Waugh and helped found the Oxford theatre and film societies. He went on to become a minor playwright and actor up to a few years before his death in 1970. In the Fortnightly Review (March 1930) Evelyn Waugh describes the book as "a thorough and unsophisticated examination of the nature and value of Oxford education". 8vo. Original blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Pages slightly toned. A VG+ copy with no old inscriptions. Seller Inventory # 19900
