Full-Leather. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Engraved titlepage. [44], 525p, [88], [2], 112p, [18]. Contemporary calf. Gilt ruled boards with blindstamped scroll design. Richly gilt spine with five raised bands. Small piece of leather missing on the spine. Hinges cracked and headband rubbed. Some general shelf wear to the binding. Spotting on a few of the title page and some of the preliminary leaves, as well in the rear index. The last of the variorum editions compiled and edited by Schrevelius. See Moss 158-159, who refers to this edition to be best based on Harwood's authority. the "Index Verborum" to persius, according to wetsten is new and occupies the last 18 pages. See Dibdin p154.
