Large extensive illustrated scrapbook of photographs, printed event programs, letters Printed programs and mementoes compiled by Etonian, David Arthur Gibbs for the years 1934-38 and 1945-46. Earlier years chronicle Gibbs years at Eton College, Windsor, including a written account of the Queen s visit to Eton during the Silver Jubilee, extensive original photographs of Etons campus and student life, and printed brochures and other coverage for Eton cricket, football and crewing events. The later years include numerous original photographs documenting Gibbs service in WWII, the extended Gibbs family and their country homes, travel, including a trip through Europe in a touring car just before the outbreak of WWII.
