Green w/gilt lettering. Spine shows creasing, shelfwear head and heel, moderate general soil. Previous owner bookplate neatly attached to front pastedown. Endpapers discolored. Text is overall clean and bright, discoloration at gutter of pgs 24-25 from insertion of slip of paper, the occasional thumb smudge, evenly tanned. Unclipped DJ shows loss at head of spine and top edge of front cover, small chips and closed tears to edges, moderate general soil. Translated by Van Wyck Brooks.
