Very Good: shows very light wear to the extremities, with a mild bump at the bottom edge of both boards; mild rubbing; the gilt titles and the front panel and backstrip are somewhat dulled; faint overall soiling; the pages have tanned very slightly, due to aging. The binding is square and secure; the text is clean, but a couple of former owner's have added their name, place and date to the front free endpaper, one in ink, the other in pencil. Despite a number of minor flaws, and light overall wear, this book remains a clean, sturdy, and quite presentable reading copy.
