SIGNED First Edition hardback, 1964, with unclipped jacket. In overall good condition, dj is a little tanned and soiled with edges worn and unclosed tear to lower rh front corner; green cloth boards, with gilt titles to spine, are tanned to edges. Binding tight, no annotations - private book plate to front paste-down (William Tozer); some age-spots to prelims and page-ends but text clean throughout. Inscription to ffep: 'For - the only man I ever knew who travels by carriage and Rolls - the always delightful Billy. Yours ever, Eddy Gilmore + two names in Russian cyrillic.'.
