About this title

The Color of Guilt and Innocence: Racial Profiling and Police Practices in America is the only book of its kind to receive national acclaim by scholars, special interest groups, and law enforcement organizations as the most comprehensive book ever written on the subject of racial profiling by police. The book is unique in that it objectively explores this controversial subject from the perspective of victims, civil rights advocates, and law enforcement officers.

About the Author:

Steve Holbert is a 30-year veteran of law enforcement and works at a San Francisco Bay Area police agency. In his law enforcement tenure, Steve has held positions in detectives, crime prevention, traffic, and SWAT. He is a court-recognized expert in traffic investigation and accident reconstruction. In addition to his diverse law enforcement background, Steve is a California POST- certified racial profiling instructor. Steve holds a bachelor's degree from Loma Linda University and a JD degree from Lincoln Law School of San Jose.

Lisa Rose is a San Francisco Bay Area attorney whose work is presently exclusive to research in the areas of police and consumer racial profiling, civil rights, and police practices. She earned her JD degree from Lincoln Law School of San Jose.
