A very good copy, for its age, in a good dust jacket of the first edition of the Collins White Circle edition (1937) of this famous mystery story. Dust Jacket: pink paper (usual Collins White Circle livery), with black lettering to all faces and black and white image of policeman to front; quite darkened with age; some rubbing to all edges and significant loss to top and bottom of spine, but really in quite good condition for its age; not clipped (now protected). Cover: pink paper to match Dust Jacket; bright and clean and tightly bound, although front hinge beginning to break and 1" slit to bottom front spine; slight rubbing to all edges but few other visible signs of shelf wear. Internally: very clean and well bound; no markings, inscriptions or book plates; some darkening to page edges; otherwise in very good condition for its age. 286 pp. Seller Inventory # 003462
