Quarto; size of binding: 6 3/4 in. x 8 1/2 in., printed title-page with woodcut coat-of-arms of a divided shield between two lions, preface, contents; [8]pp., pp. [1]194. Printed in German in several sizes of gothic typefaces, with large initial W, beginning the preface, on a thick, high-quality laid paper, with typographical borders. Bound in full, old calf with five raised bands on the spine, simple blindstamped, double-line borders around the cover edges, single lines on spine bands. Inscription in ink at top right of the front endpaper: Michael Zappa [or Lappa] St: Theo'l: accepit gratis ab Amico suo Intimo has praecum, formulas. Tiguri [Zurich] Ao 1770. The surface of the leather on the spine shows wear with some deterioration to the leather, nicks to leather on back cover, with abrasions, rubbing to front cover, cover edges, spine ends; a few tan spots to title-page, but the text, overall is clean and crisp.
