About this Item
Based on the actual experience of the author, a Russian-American pediatrician, this story about adoption was first published in 1939. (Another of Dr Wasson's achievements was being instrumental in introducing psychedelic mushrooms to America, but that's a different story.) This copy is a ninth printing of the new revised and illustrated edition of 1950. Foreword by Sophie Van S. Theis. Full page illustrations are in black & white and three-color on alternate pages. The very edge of the boards are slightly bleached of the lovely green color, but a very good copy indeed in a very good, unclipped ($2.85) dust jacket, slightly browned and edgeworn with some nicks and chips to bottom edge.
