A rare, original, colour poster of Mao Zhedong from the period of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Undated, circa 1971/72. Portrait format: 73.5cm x 53cm. Printed by Shenyang Xinhua Printing Factory, no. T8027.4696, priced at 0.10 yuan. Distributed by Niaoning Province Xinhua Bookshops. Title: "Great Leader And Mentor Mao Zhedong". Condition: fine, with just a couple of tiny nicks at the bottom edge. Provenance: from a large private collection acquired several years ago in Nanjing. Mao posters from this period have been reproduced thousands of times for tourist shops in China, so original unmarked examples like this are rare and highly sought after. Seller Inventory # 004149
