100 pages. Folio sized paperback, bound with stiffened cream colored printed paper covers. Text in French. Light tanning to the spine with a minimal amount on the covers. A previous bookseller's discreet label remains on the rear endpaper that also shows a degree of crimping, most likely inherent from the time of production. Else, the binding is tight and solid, with a clean interior free of markings. 80 richly printed black and white photographs depicting daily life in China, all presented full page, by D'Hélène Hoppenot.
