Description:

Hardcover with dustjacket and the original slipcase, book measures 16 by 12 inches, "This is a monumental book about a monumental Australian painter. It is not just a book of unsurpassable colour reproduction, however. It presents a close inspection of a major talent's whole life's ouevre, with a text that is equally biographical as it is aesthetically descriptive," 144 pages, this copy is in overall excellent condition with a few minor flaws only, the only book flaw is moderate foxing to the top and bottom border of two pages: the half-title page and the last page of the index, none of the text is affected, the only remarkable dustjacket flaw is nearly unnoticeable sunning to the background color on the spine, the gold slipcase has a couple of tiny scuff-marks as its only flaw. The front free endpaper was once accidently left lighlty misplaced when the book was shut for awhile leaving faint but easily noticeable light superficial creasing to that single free endpaper's edge. The jacket has been protected in mylar and looks nice. There are no markings or other faults with the book. 16 and 5/8 inches tall by 11 and 5/8ths wide. Full-color large plates. A fascinating work by this preeminent artist. contained in the original publishers mustard-colored slipcase that is in very good minus condition.
