First edition, 35th printing, with rare promotional photo with facsimile signature. Measuring approximately 8.25" x 5.5" with 318 numbered pages. This book is in very good plus condition. Moderate bumping to both ends of spine. Gilt lettering and design on spine is faded but still vivid. Gilt lettering and design on front board is full and vivid. Minor scuffing to both boards. Minor staining to all edges of textblock. Minor foxing to interior pages that have photographs present. On May 20, 1927, a young man stood ready to take the supreme test of his life. This is his story of what led to that moment, and what followed after the Spirit of St. Louis touched down on French soil, some 33 hours later.
