5 3/4" x 8", 240 pp. FIRST EDITION. Sought-after early title of Fannie Farmer with wonderful paste-on illustration by Leyendecker on the cover [see photo]. Handsome green cloth binding, with interior illustrations by Albert D. Blashfield throughout, upper edges gilt. This copy in Very Good Plus (VG+) condition with a very bright, fresh exterior with only a small chip to the paste-on illustration. Binding is quite sound and interior pages are in nice shape with only slight foxing at the endpapers and age-toning to the page edges (not visible on the pages, only as a closed text block); FO name elegantly inscribed on FFEP, dated 1913.
