A handsome b&w lithograph of the buildings at a Maori village, with three Maoris in the foreground. Du Petit-Thouars anchored in the Bay of Islands on 13th October 1838, and stayed in the Bay of Islands for 29 days. This is plate 62 of "Voyage autour du monde sur la fregate Venus" by Abel du Petit-Thouars. Marginal tear which does not effect the print. Very good condition. Seller Inventory # 13880
