Bruce Hershenson, one of today's foremost experts on movie posters, issued this limited edition on the oft-overlooked genre of cartoon movie posters, and it has been almost unobtainable in recent years. Cartoon posters are now a highly-sought-after collectible, much more so after the publication of this book (and its less rare paperback version). Pictorial cover features 2 rare Mickey Mouse posters: "Mickey's Good Deed" on the front, and "The Mad Doctor" on the back, both in great color and without the book's title (which is on the spine). The book contains 393 full-color illustrations spread over 100 pages of cartoon movie posters with special emphasis on Popeye, Betty Boop, Tex Avery, Tom and Jerry, and Disney features and short subjects. The year of release, the producer and director, and the star (if it's a series cartoon) are noted. This collection contains a huge percentage of all the cartoon movie posters known from before 1950, and contains ten full-page poster illustrations.
