It is 1916 in England and the dark days of World War 1 drag on. Jim and Wally return to the front line, when Norah discovers she has been left a legacy - a large house in the Surrey countryside. Norah and her father turn "Homewood" into a house for wounded and exhausted civilians. A telegram arrives with the worst news of all - until a miracle happens. (No date, but 1940, Burnet 11.7.
