This VG- quality book was copyrighted in 1907 and published by Saalfield Publishing Company; it is 7-5/8" tall with 286 numbered pages of text. This book--one-piece red binding with black lettering--is square, reasonably clean, with the top front corner lightly bumped and two small dings on the bottom edge of the front board; the head and heel of the spine are lightly bumped with slight color loss. The bottom edges have a moderate amount of wear. The spine is not faded and is reasonably clean and the lettering is intact. Except for an inked 1935 inscription on the FFEP, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Both hinges are quite strong and undamaged. The text paper is substantially toned but is still quite flexible and not at all brittle. The only illustration in the book, the frontis, is on plain paper and is clean and intact. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. The VG- quality jacket is reasonably clean and not faded. It has small chips at all four corners, with larger chips at the head and heel of the spine. There is a scrape near the top of the spine, causing two spots where a hole exists, as well as wear along the front fold. Seller Inventory # BMR-2020-8-9-9
