This G quality format #2 book (as per Mattson & Davis's bibliography--7-1/2" tall, more binding colors than yellow [red, gray, tan, brown, blue-green], and the entire front is covered with pictorial applique in colors) was published by New York Book in 1913. It has a slight lean, is modestly soiled, with no edge dings but with all four corners bumped and worn with tiny dots of the boards exposed; the head and heel of the spine are also bumped, with some fraying and tears at the head of the spine and fraying at the heel. Bottom edges and corners have a moderate amount of wear. The spine is moderately soiled; the front panel applique is worn, with spots of wear and small edge chips, but is still reasonably intact (see photo). Except for a penciled library name on the FFEP, the interior is free of writing, stray marks and paper damage of any type; there are several pages with minor, non-intrusive stains. The frontis is intact The paper is somewhat toned and not fragile, though it is quite stiff. The paper covering the hinges is torn--both are holding but weakened.
