Limited edition of 750 of which this is number 17. 8vo. 590pp. One- quarter black cloth with decorated cloth covered boards. Tan title label ruled and lettered in black to spine. Writings of the early 19th century poet, dramatist and physician who was obsessed with death and committed suicide at age 45. Edited by Sir Edmund Gosse. One work, "Death's Jest Book", IS decorated with illustrations from Hans Holbien's "Dance of Death". Edges untrimmed with some pages unopened.
