Ladies Stand. Folio sheet folded (234x190mm) with 3pp text. "At a Meeting of Subscribers at the Angel Inn, 8th July, 1820, to examine the Accounts, and regulate other Matters relating thereto. It was Resolved, That Subscribers have Free Admission, without Tickets ." Dated Ludlow; July 10th, 1820. To the verso Account of Monies Received and Expended. Wanted to Complete by Estimates . Shutters £20-16-0d, Three Iron Gates £10-10-0d, etc. On opposite page List of 'Subscribers' including Earl of Powis, Viscount Clive, T.A. Knight (Jun.), Rev. Johnes Knight et al., Two names and amounts added in mss. with overleaf addressed in ink to Henry Lloyd, Esq., Broad Gate, [Ludlow]. The Lloyd family of Attorneys occupied the 13th century Broad Gate from 1816 until 1940. T.A. Knight (Jun.) accidentally shot in 1827 aged 32 & therefore 25 yrs old when this was printed in 1820. His father also called Thomas Knight [1759-1838]. Ludlow Race Course & it's Stands are there to this day. Little dusty, otherwise very good. Seller Inventory # 341
