Map, obviously from a book with fold at gutter. slight chip at bottom at center--see photo. Engraved by R. Wallis. Map is primarily Canada but shows Greenland and "Russian America" (now Alaska) and in U.S. shows Port St. Francisco, "R. Columbia or Oregon" "new Georgia" (now in Washington State) and "Oregon" on west coast. Great Lakes, Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Long Island are noted. Decorative border with illustrations of Esquimaux, whale fishing, ships "Fury and Hecla," a view of Montreal. circa 1850 but no date printed. Live matter, exclusive of border, of map is 8 1/2 by 11 1/2 inches. Seller Inventory # 000474
