Germany, ca. 1800. Book-like brass box with morocco-covered spine (8.5 x 3.8 x 1.9 cm). = A fine "bookalike", being a brass box with green armadillo-skin inlays and gilted brass ornaments. "Spine" with brown morocco compartments and brass raised bands; the middle one with a small knob. Gilt edges. A very nice and handsome item. Perfect for small jewelry, as it is a small jewel itself.
