This 4.625 x 7.0 inch, 454 page hardcover book is the apparent 1943 first edition of this title with this copy being in near fine condition with no dust wrapper. The soft orange cloth covers with red-and-black design and lettering on front panel and spine are very clean and virtually ?As New? - - with just a touch of wear showing to the corners, with one back corner showing a small bump. The interior shows a previous owner?s penciled name on the ffep but beyond that the pages reveal no marks, handling wear, or damage. This book is filled with great black-and-white photos, black-and-white sketches and diagrams, with cartoons and illustrations of all sorts as to the Cub Scout program as it is developing in the United States - - with chapters given to games, cub crafts, ceremonies, songs and yells, the outdoors in cubbing, etc. This copy features a one-page forward by Elbert K. Freewill titled ?Chief Scout Executive? as he served in that position as National Executive between 1943 and 1948. 454 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-1320
