Color illustrated postcard sent by an American serving in France at the No. 16 Philadelphia General Hospital, attached to the British Expeditionary Force in Le Treport, France. This was a 500 bed facility established in 1917. Ralph Straub writes to Peg on Nov. 5 1917 that he is doing well and will send photographs. Color pictorial card depicts a French soldier saluting an American soldier pictured next to an enormous hand colored American flag, and within 6 pointed star. Divided back. Seller Inventory # 24948
