First published in book form in 1914; this reprint undated but after 1946, the year of publication of Hill's last two novels, mentioned on the back jacket panel and opposite the title page. Gray hardcover, dark green titling; in jacket, as pictured. Light wear to book, ink names on half-title page, free endsheet removed; price-clipped jacket shows light rubbing, scuffs in spine, minor edgewear - jacket is about an eighth-inch shorter than the book, probably an older book with jacket updated by a sale rep, as was reportedly Grosset's practice.
