This is a factual story. A nice color illustrated hardcover with bumped spine ends showing color loss and fairly sharp tips. Grey cloth covered boards display well despite some very faint splotchyness on periphery and some rubbing at head of spine cloth. One tidy, 1967 gift presentation on fep, 195 pp text is untrimmed on the fore-edge, and is dyed a faint pink color at head of page block. Not exlib. Price-clipped color illustrated dust wrapper shows BORU scrapping with a bald eagle. BORU is a real dog, presented by a man who knows and loves dogs and who can make them live in the pages of a book. BORU's wanderings, his battles, the winning and losing of his mate - the white she-wolf of the hills makes a memorable tale suitable to earn its place amongst the really great dog stories of literature.
