Wraps a little rubbed, contemporary ink notations on several pages, responding to and partially obscuring underlying text, but a sound bright copy. Bemoaning the hundreds of thousand of people being swindled each year by competing patent medicines, in this volume Dr. Ayer's lists "the complete formulas of all our medicines," including Ayers Hair Vigor and Cherry Pectoral Plaster.
