Not ex-lib. Hardcover in brown cloth with black stamped titles and figure to front; gilt stamped titles on spine,no jacket, small 8vo. 328pp. B/W plates. FAIR ONLY. Front board has occasional soil to overall remarkably clean and sharpcloth with strong, clear stamping; rear cloth more generally soiled and rubbed, especially just above lowwr edge. Spine darkned to very deep brown with titles all strong and clearly legible. Binding strong and square, not shaken, but quite stiff with play along upper front hinge. Pages stiff, with moderate uniform toning, fairly strong foxing to pages at beginning and end; most text pages clean and unmarked save for prev. owner name stamp pre-title and half-title pages; ffep detached now laid-in. Vintage bookseller's label (Gilbert & Field; London) lower front pastedown. Seller Inventory # 025780
