This 7.0 x 10.25 inch, 233 page hardcover book with slipcase is the 1951 printing of this title by the Heritage Press. This copy is in fine condition in a very good slipcase. The book itself is attractively made as was most of the Heritage Press titles. The marbled paper over cloth is in very fine condition as is the cloth spine with the printed title and decorations. This copy has the glassine wrapper for the book but the glassine, although solidly in one piece, has several missing pieces. Beyond that the book inside and out is in fine condition and probably better, with no condition issues to mention. The slipcase does show rubbing wear, especially at the front corners and edges, and the bottom front corner of the case shows a half-inch separation of the case edges. The corners and edges of the slipcase show discoloration from the dark burgundy red paper covers of the case wearing through. All in all a very handsome book, reprinting a title that was first printed in the nineteenth century, and the early printings of this title command high prices. This reprint features numerous drawings by William Sharpe illustrating the look of people and places in Boston of Franklin's time. 233 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-608
