Our Australian Cousins. By James Inglis and printed in London by Macmillan and Co. 1880, 466 pp, 6 x 9 , 8vo, rebound cloth binding. In good condition, with some rubbing and wear to edges and binding. Slight chipping to the corners of the book. Top portion of spine binding has slight tear. Hinges are in good condition with pages intact. Very slight age-related toning to pages, with foxing more prevalent toward the end of the appendix. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. Our Australian Cousins is a travel journal from tea merchant and politician James Inglis. This book features the history of islands such as New Guinea and Singapore, as well as history of different regions of Australia. Inglis also includes his experience traveling through the region, and what to look out for if the reader was considering doing a similar trip, such as how the locals act around tourists, hotels, food, and climate in each location.
