E. Brock in particular, there is, in the actual technique, something redolent of whatever period he illustrates. The Brocks work together in a big studio which they have built in the garden of their old home; here, with a well-stocked library, which includes valuable old fashion journals, some delightful old furniture, and a useful wardrobe of costumes and accessories, they produce the Pen Drawings which editors welcome with so much enthusiasm, and the dainty Water-Colours which have enabled them to add "R.I." to their names.
