5.5" x 7.25" stapled booklet, 7 pages of handwritten text + covers and introductory note, with three illustrations hand-painted on cardboard and mounted to pages. A charming and original school project by John Foster, likely of Schenectady, New York, 1970s. As described in the "Note" (with original spelling retained): Like using piano rags for The Sting, I have combined a Greek myth with the style of Midieval Illumunated Manuscripts. I hope you like it. The myth has been altered to fit the midieval format, and Athene is a lady knight. The moral and basic idea is still there, so other than Athene, little has been changed. Tucked in the back is a note from the teacher, written on the back of a 1974 permission slip referencing the "Mohawk Pathways Girl Scout Council," which is located in Schenectady.
