View of the Dutch city of Rhenen, as seen from the south (mirrored).With explanatory title (Renen/Rhena) left from the middle of the plate and a city crest underneath it. ca. 1616.This print originates from 'Lodovico Guicciardini, Descrittione di tutti i Paesi bassi (.), Arnhem, Jan Jansz, 1616'. This was an influential account of the history and the arts of the Low Countries, accompanied by city maps by various leading engravers. Deys 2001. Overall size: 16,6 x 22,5 cm; plate size: 14,7 x 20,9 cm. Good state. Some age related discolouration. Light damp stain through the bottom of the print. Handlaid paper. Printed text in Latin and woodcut decoration on the verso of the print. Seller Inventory # 61940
