Rare original and only edition of the Latin translation of Seiz's work celebrating the third centenary of the invention of printing by Laurens Jansz. Coster, originally written and published in Duch. The work is dedicated to the Archbishop of Canterbury by the printers Isaac and Joannes Enschede. After the dedication - to the Archbishop of Canterbury - which is dated Haarlem 31 March 1742, there are poems on the invention of printing by Laurens Jansz. Coster, by Hugo Grotius (1611), Petrus Scriverius and Pieter Langendyk. Frontespice and 5 plates out of the text 1 volumes. Binding a little bit rubbed, but in good condition.
