Three small, fat volumes 5 x 7.5 ins. The texts of all three books are complete and the page bindings are fully intact, not shaken at all. 768+ 731+706 pages. Condition: poor The bindings are delapidated and need heavy repair work. Vol 1: rebound but needs a lot of work: both new boards are present but loose; spine loose and hanging off; Vol 2: both boards present but detached; no backstrip (spine); vol 3: the original binding is still present with gilt lettering but top and bottom of spine are ragged top 3 ins of front (outer) join split; corners rubbed. Both inner hinges very loose, almost split. The buyer gets a complete copy of Mayhall's work but a rebind is necessary. Heavy (2.5 kgs). a bit of extra postage needed. Seller Inventory # 31577

Stamped green cloth, with gilt titles to front cover and spine. Not dated, but published sometime soon after 1874. With engraved plates, complete as per the list at the end of each volume. Each volume with a wealth of information and anecdote on politics, crime, industry, social affairs, charities, religion etc, etc. Very minor wear to covers. Front cover of Vol. II a little bowed, and its f.f.e.p. loose. A very good and attractive set. pp. iv, 768; 731; 706. Seller Inventory # 29134
