Compartments framed with gold, with titling to second compartment. Gilt frame to boards. AEG, and white silk moire endpapers. 372pp. Engraved portraits and color family crests throughout. Limited edition; #31/50. Reading copy only. Front board and endpages lacking; rear board intact. Very light shelfwear; corners slightly erose. Page edge gilt rubbed and scratched. Interior near very good. Endpages moderately toned and fraying slightly at edges. Chips to bottom corners of half title page. Very light toning to edges throughout, particularly to plates. Title page has been elaborately decorated, possibly by a previous owner. Rear hinge cracked, else nterior clean, unmarked, and firmly bound.
