Thirtenth Thousand.8vo. 192pp. Bound in the original red cloth as issued with Alice holding a pig in gilt on top board and grinning Cheshire cat on bottom board. Illustrations inside by John Tenniel. Collated and complete. A new spine in red cloth without lettering and new cream coloured end papers. Covers are worn, marked and corners heavily rubbed. Inside the half title page is missing and on the verso of the frontis illustration there is some juvenile scribbles in pencil and light green off-setting from the original end paper. There are some brown marks and thumbing, and two pages have brown pencil marks in top right corner margins. An acceptable copy of an early edition, usual with these well-loved and read books.
