Gift quality hardcover and original dust jacket. 1st published 1943, then 1944, this is the third printing of 1948. Grey background illustrated paper covered boards with bright drawing of Albert and his bonnet-wearing mother camel with black text around this image matches the cover art on the book. Closed tear at foot of rear panel now repaired, book displays very well in new mylar. 42pp text is crisp and unmarked, and has charming illustrated endpapers. A young camel has a very active mind that leads him into some disturbing adventures, ending with a favor for the King that brought praise and pride for the young rascal. Seller Inventory # 48302
