Fine contemporary bindings of full calf, gilt fillet border, the spine with contrasting red and black lettering pieces, gilt compartments. Top edge of upper board vol 2 slightly sunned. Minor rubbing extremities, jointsand hinges sound. A VG handsome set. The memoirs of Sir John Thomas Jones (1783-1843), Major General in the Royal Engineers, lauded by Wellington who was also a distinguished amateur cricketer. Present at six sieges.
