Size of the card: 2 1/2 inches x 4 in., size of the mounted photographic print: 2 3/8 in. x 3 3/4 in. Photographic image of Lincoln, seated and reading, with his son "Tad" standing at his side. The mounting card shows a printed title underneath the image: PRESIDENT LINCOLN At Home., and an inked number (either 19, 17 or 15) in the lower right corner; the back of the card bears the publisher's name and address within scrollwork, with an American Stars & Stripes shield/crest above the scrollwork. The image shows some age-related fading, a tiny tan spot in Lincoln's hair, some deep scratches to the print paper on the lower edge, light tanning to the back of the mounting card.
