Very gpood to inside with no inscriptions. There are many photographs and a fold out map in black and white to the back showing Chinese Map of Chungking. The dust jacket is price clipped and has a half inch tear to the top front left corner; the spine is very slightly faded. "Morrison's account of this remarkable journey is a vivid portrayal of pre-revolutionary China, from the rural villages to the great walled cities .
