In near fine dark turquoise cloth boards, gilt titles to spine. The boards are very tight, straight and clean; slight wear to spine ends. Unmarked bright turquoise end papers. The text block is in near fine plus condition with very taut, flat and white, clean pages, illustrated throughout in colour by J. O. Westwood. No dedications etc. In good glossy pictorial dust jacket with bright colour manuscript to front. The jacket is unmarked, with two open tears to top cut edge and worn tail edge. Not price clipped. Hardcover. Condition: Good ++/Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Dustjacket Good +. 1 1/4 inch thick.Large pages.Beautiful colour plates. Dustjacket has some wear and chipping to edges and there is a 2 3/4 inch long ruched rip to back panel. Been a water spill whcih has affected the book at some stage which shows to the bottom of back board and to bottom edge of back of dustjacket. This has also made the bottom corners of pages stick a little but there is only a slight marking to very bottom edges of a few pages.
