ORIGINAL BLUE CLOTH COVERED BOARDS STAMPED IN GILT AND BLACK, TITLES AND DECORATIONS, TO THE SPINE AND COVERS WITH CREAM COLORED ENDPAPERS. BOOK HAS SOME MODEST SOIL, A RUBBED SPOT ON THE FRONT COVER, SOME LIGHT RUB ON THE REAR COVER, SPINE HEEL CHIPPED AND NICELY REPAIRED, SPINE SLIGHTLY DARKENED, SPINE GILT ALSO SLIGHTLY DULLED, AND MODERATE SOILING THROUGHOUT THE TEXT (ORIGINAL OWNER WAS APPARENTLY A PIPE SMOKER) AN EXCELLENT WELL PRESERVED AND TIGHT COPY OF THIS ATTRACTIVE HIGHLIGHT OF AMERICAN NINETEENTH CENTURY LITERATURE.
