471pp , About the authors :: Marc Angenot is a Quebec professor of French language and literature, who teaches at McGill University ( Montreal). He is president James McGill study of social discourse , is a literary theorist , but above all, a speech analyst and historian of ideas , especially political ideologies ( nineteenth and twentieth centuries ) . He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada . He was elected to the presidency for 2011-2012 Chaim Perelman philosophy ' s law , the theory of argumentation and the history of ideas at the Free University of Brussels. Born in 1941 in Brussels, Angenot completed his postgraduate studies at the Free University of Brussels from 1959 to 1967. PhD student in Philosophy entitled Rhetoric of surrealism (directed by Albert Henry suffered in 1967) is in the course of the rediscovery rhetoric with the work of Chaim Perelman ( ULB ) and those who , later, the " Group of Mu " (University of Liege ) . Far from sticking to a formal or structural functionalist , Angenot question the literature in its social dimension and one of the theorists call " social criticism " . But it would be simplistic to limit searches to Angenot social criticism more comfortable as it is described as an analyst of social discourse . The sociodiscursive analysis attempts to reconcile the practice of rhetorical argument advanced for a careful reading of the texts to the socio- historical mediations and interdiscursivity phenomena ... Jean Bessière is Professor of Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne ( University of Paris III Sorbonne Nouvelle ) , and was educated at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and holds a PhD ( Docteur d' Etat ) of the Sorbonne , in addition to being professor of Modern Literature .
