This text is in Spanish. Thought to be lost for over 30 years, the manuscript of this novel was found in 1952 during the cleanup of a fire at Colombia's newspaper "El Espectador". Eduardo Zalamea Borda was a secretary for the Colombian delegation in the society of nations, director of the national archive, chief editor of El Liberal, columnist at El Espectador, and director of El Espectador Gazette.
